Joe Humbucker
What model of Stratocaster comes with the angled humbucker (like Billie Joe Armstrong from Greenday)?
I want to know what or where i can find a Hss stratocaster with the angled humbucker much like Greenday guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong??
He had that modified, not just modified, that is a custom shop, custom built HSS from Fender. Probably a $5,000 guitar. Best thing to do now is just get a (for the bridge position) Seymour Duncan (Cool Rails?? I think). It's a humbucker in a single coil size, so no expensive modification is needed. OR, you can get a Seymour Duncan Cool Stack, which is a single coil size, but you can switch it between humbucker and single coil (which a split switch). So you have the option of playing either a humbucker or single coil. Take a look at Seymour Duncan website, you'll be able to find out what you need. I wouldn't modify my strat to put an "angled" humbucker on it. It takes ALOT of skill as a tech do this, and it would be expensive, then once you do it, you can never go back, or if you do, it will never be the same. I advise against heavy modifications like this, this is huge modification, not just a simple little coil change. Hope you go with the Cool Stack, it's great little humbucker/single coil unit, and you'll be very pleased. It's also awsome because it's noiseless humbucker!! So you get single coil, humbucker, noiseless pick up, all in 1 simple modification!!!!!!!!!
