When Exactly do you need to start worrying about buying things such as High Output alternators and Capacitors?
I am close to installing my 2-12 inch alpine subs (SWE-1243) rated at 250 RMS each max wattage is 750 each, and a 500 watt Class D amplifier. will i need anything extra other than a good installation to keep my car (2005 Civic) from malfunctioning, electronically?
Yeah, I also say anything over 1000 watts you will need to consider alternator upgrades or charging system wiring upgrades.
Really depends on how good the Civic's electrical system is, however. The Chevy Blazer equipment has been proven to handle up to 1400 watts without issue.
