Vintage Telecaster

Anyone who knows about Fender Guitars.?
Which one will give me a nicer 'vintage' rock sound and is basically the better guitar-Fender Lite Ash Telecaster made in Korea, or Fender Telecaster Standard made in Mexico. I know they're not American so wont be TOTR but cant afford the American =[
Any help would be much appreciated.
The mexican. The Ash body fenders were prominent in the 70s which was not a good time for fender. Get the mexico one and maybe consider buying some better pic ups for it. Rio Grande makes good pickups cheap.
