replaced stock speakers. no bass??
i replaced my rear 6x9s with sony xplod 6x9s. There isnt any bass if the balance and fade are at neutral. However, if i turn it to just one 6x9, there is tons of bass. but if i just put it on the 6x9s alone, there isnt bass. Did i do something wrong or is mmy stock deck designed to do that?
What you've described is the classic test to see if a pair of speakers are wired correctly in phase with each other. Yours are not. Go to the trunk and reverse the (+) and (-) connections on ONE of the two speakers. That should fix your problem immediately.
If you have a GM vehicle, the (+) wire on the left speaker should be brown, and the (+) wire on the right speaker should be dark blue.
