Norton Humbucker
Can anyone recommend a good stacked humbucker?
I want something that is in between a humbucker and single coil tone, but leaning towards humbucker tone. Preferably, the average production. I thought Air Norton S, but the output could be a little high and I need a few more suggestions. No budget. He will need a large, clean and warm sound solid lead sounds.
It is often difficult to find a truck that sound good clean and distorted, as it usually turns the other. Higher output pickups may suffer from a rather sterile when low scores does not deform much at all. You generally have to sacrifice a little. The Seymour Duncan Hot Rails are great for distortion, but they does not sound so great cleanup. It is not bad, but requires a bit of a change EQ, which can be annoying if you have one channel. If you have an amp with two channels, you should be okay. I had a Tone Zone S in the beginning and it seemed interesting, it cleaned very well and much distorted, but it lacked the punch of the HRS. Also a Dimarzio Chopper, Cruiser and Fastrack single coil humbuckers companies. Bill Lawrence also does, but never tried, I can not really tell you anything. If money is not everything, Barden pickups are great. But for 170 to a pickup, I think the money would become an object at this point.
