What Ohm rating pot for volume between iPod and active speakers?
I currently run my iPod through some active speakers, which doesn't offer very flexible volume levels (when the speaker volume is up high, the minimum volume I can achieve with the iPod is still very loud, and vice versa).
The speakers are mounted high on the wall so I can't reach the volume very easily.
I'd like to wire in a duel potentiometer between the iPod and my active speakers to control the volume. What rating pot should I be using for this?

The correct way to control the volume is to set the iPod volume to its max position and then control the speaker's volume control. This gives you the best signal to noise ratio. Speaker placement is very critical also. They should really be at ear level when listening. The only solution I can think of for you is to use an in-line headphone volume control. One end(male) plugs into the iPod and the other end(female) connects to the cable feeding the speakers. Nothing else is required. Good luck.
