can I put a single-coil pickup in a humbucker's spot?
i have a pacifica 112v electric guitar and i wanted to know if i could change out the humbucker pickup for a single coil because i think the humbucker has a coil tap...( is that when the tone knob is pushed in its one pickup and pulled out its the humbucker??? i don't really know what i'm talking about... sorry). also, could i put a stratocaster pickguard on it without having to drill holes? if i have to then i will but i would like to know if there was an alternative...
