Fits Strat

I am moding my Squier bullet strat and I was wondering would an ibanez neck fit a fender guitar?
It might physically fit into the pocket in the body, but I'm pretty sure that those guitars are different scale lengths. That means that given the placement of the bridge, the frets will be in the wrong place and the guitar will play further and further out of tune the higher you go on the neck.
If the scale lengths are the same (the measurement from the bridge to the nut), then knock yourself out!
