Plate Screws
Then a metal plate and screws remain in the body for the rest of your life?
Hello. If a person gets a surgical treatment involving metal plates and screws for broken bone, can the plates and screws to remain in their lifetime, or should they be deleted after a while? And if they are there for more than 3 years? Are there dangers I should know?
Well actually it depends where you get surgery because sometimes the screws can be irritating because they can rub and everything. Wist screws also be there will be a big problem if you ever brake bones here. They do not necessarily need to be removed, but it is nice not having to worry about. I have 15 screws in my legs and 5 plates. Some of them will never be eliminated and others are removed as soon as they cause me pain. They were in my leg for almost 2 years. So, as the screws and plates did there job they are able to be removed and the recovery is quite simple, basically just wait a little tissue to heal. In addition, it depends on the size of screws and plates were. The more they are more likely they will not be deleted.
