How fast should i be able to alternate finger pick on Bass?

I'm using 2 fingers, right now i can go up to 125bpm playing 4 notes a beat, i dont know if thats good since there arent many bass players here, i know speed isnt everything but im into playing metal so speed is kind of essential, How fast can you guys play with 2 fingers? and how fast should i be aiming for?? thanks for the help :)
