Folding Heavy
Hybrid Bike VS. CRUISER FOLDING?
I want to get one I can throw in my car if (a Honda Civic gosh ..) .. I was thinking of a folding car .. but at least it is 418.00. or perhaps a hybrid (so I can take the front wheel), but those seem like it could be either a) too heavy / Large or b) a giant hassle. I am also 5'2 "and 110 pounds then maybe a smaller size? Suggestions anyone?
A hybrid will be lighter than a cruiser. Disassembling the front wheel is not very difficult, quick fasteners allow the wheels to be removed in seconds. Release and reconnect the brake cable is a bit more complicated, but once you learn it is very easy. What could be better perhaps a flat bar road bike with double side pull brake hub, very easy to open to remove the wheel. Folding bikes can be a problem their own folding bike everything is heavier and more expensive than equivalent conventional bicycle frame. The best type of car to carry bikes inside is a tailgate, often bicycles can be put inside without removing anything. If your car has four doors, it is easy to put a bike on the seat back, I can store my road bike in my back seat in about 10 seconds, including the time it takes to remove the front wheel.
