How to spot a fake Fender guitar?
What are the ways to see if the Fender I bought is real or not? I am a beginner and I do not know how a true sound. Give me some tips on how to spot a fake, as in looks, trademark pale or physical basis because I'm not really good at listening and consideration of sound.
If it is a newer model Fender, it should have a number standard on the head with the logo. It usually starts with SN :******** or something like that. You can enter this number in the Fender site to see if it is present. On most newer guitars, you can usually even tell you what plant it comes from and where it was made. This should provide some peace of mind, but it is not impossible that the number was simply copied out of a genuine Fender.
