Bridge rectified 240Vac (American single phase) is what DC voltage?
How much ripple can I except?
Understand the ripple freq will be 2x60Hz. Which doesn't concern me as this will be driving a resistive load. Was asking about ripple voltage. Was concerned about the peak voltage. How much ripple (volts) riding on 240Vdc.
The 240VAC is RMS which means it is equivalent to a DC voltage of the same value.
Your ripple at single phase with out a smoothing capacitor will be 120 Hz.
