What are the keys to a platform of good poll blues (guitar, amp, effects, etc.)?
I currently have a personalized TV (I love!) And a single crate 2x12 amp (tube preamp). I have a couple of overdrive pedals, a Line6 DL4 and a Big Muff Pi Someone Has ideas about EQ, or any other pedals that I should try? I played guitar for many years, but I'm just in the blues.
Keep it simple, not much effect on the rhythm, neck pickup game, get your voice on the guitar sound button. Clean. spoil on your ear by saturation, and throw in a Cry Baby wah. (Seeing how you overdrive pedals, and kick in a fierce lead, perhaps using the microphone bridge), neck pickup point on a TV (which I play) has good-sounding soft. Play two notes at once and drag into the next single note. (I hope you have what Im saying, I'm screwed at the moment!) I play through a Hot Rod Deville, but I love TV's natural, in harmony with the 4th and 5th. (Or experitment to your taste.) A little reverb, but basically not much use your tone controls on the guitar and "pick" to the neck area, regardless of the selection of pickup. (Blues is all about "feel" if you want it ... pretty cool! (Also, note the two "octave" D and B string is very cool (where you "pick" you made a difference in tone) screw, I give you a star! be interested in the BLUES!
